What disappears rarely leaves without a trace. Vestige considers the quiet evidence that remains, observing how time can preserve presence long after its source has gone. Interpreted through dry geranium, resinous labdanum, cedar, and warm amber.
The study of what remains.
Imprint begins with what remains. - Others continue, leaving traces in the way a place is remembered, a scent is recognized, or a feeling returns without explanation.
Each fragrance considers the residue of an experience: places once inhabited, moments briefly held, and memories that have changed with distance. Not nostalgia exactly, but the way something absent can remain perceptible long after its original context has disappeared.
Scent is particularly suited to this territory. A fragrance can collapse distance without warning, returning a room, a season, or a person with a clarity that thought alone rarely achieves. What comes back is not always the memory in full. Sometimes it's only an atmosphere or a fragment.
Imprint translates those fragments into fragrance.
Imprint is not an attempt to preserve the past exactly as it was. With time, details fade, meanings change, and what remains might only have a partial resemblance to what occurred.
That alteration is part of the process.

The Study
The wall no longer holds the painting, yet it continues to describe where it once belonged. Years of light transformed every surrounding surface while the protected space remained quietly unchanged. What remains is neither the object nor its memory, but the evidence that it was once here. Vestige begins with the recognition that absence often becomes visible only through what time leaves behind.
