Bliss

Some moments ask for nothing from us except our attention. A familiar ritual. A passing thought. A conversation that lingers longer than expected. Experiences that might otherwise be overlooked if we are too focused on what comes next.

The most meaningful moments are often the easiest to miss.

There is a tendency to imagine that meaning arrives through major milestones. The achievement. The breakthrough. The long-awaited change. While these moments certainly matter, much of life unfolds elsewhere, inside ordinary experiences that rarely announce their importance while they are happening.

A familiar scent. A shared meal. A memory that resurfaces unexpectedly. A quiet moment of stillness between responsibilities. These experiences often pass quickly, not because they lack significance, but because attention has already moved ahead to something else.

Bliss was created around the practice of noticing. Warm vanilla and luminous florals create a fragrance that feels comforting without becoming heavy, while sandalwood and soft musk add depth beneath the surface. The scent feels familiar yet refined, inviting a slower pace of attention as it develops throughout the room.

The result is an atmosphere that encourages appreciation. A reminder that not every meaningful experience requires transformation. Sometimes the most profound moments are the ones we allow ourselves to fully inhabit.

Our candles are formulated with elevated fragrance concentrations within industry safety standards. Due to the nature of fragrance composition, scent performance, cold throw, and hot throw may vary slightly between fragrances and vessel sizes.

Care + Maintenance

Trim the wick to 1/4” before each lighting to support a cleaner, more even burn. During the first burn, allow the wax to melt fully across the surface to help prevent tunneling and preserve the integrity of the fragrance over time.

Burn on a stable, heat-safe surface away from drafts, curtains, or open windows. To maintain the atmosphere and craftsmanship of the candle, avoid burning for longer than 4 hours at a time.

Discontinue use when 1/2” of wax remains. Once finished, the vessel can be cleaned and repurposed within your space or daily rituals.

Shipping + Delivery

Orders are processed within 2–5 business days unless otherwise noted during collection launches or seasonal releases. Once fulfilled, tracking information will be sent via email.

Domestic orders typically arrive within 3–7 business days after shipment. Delivery timelines may vary during holidays, launches, or carrier delays outside of our control.

Each order is packed in small batches from our Los Angeles atelier using consciously sourced materials and low-waste packaging practices.

Returns + Exchanges

Scent is personal.

If your candle or ritual product isn’t the right fit for your space, we accept returns and exchanges on unused items within 14 days of delivery. Lightly burned candles may be eligible for exchange or store credit on a case-by-case basis.

Due to the handcrafted nature of our collections, returned items must arrive in original condition and packaging.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos so we can assist promptly.

Material Integrity

Finished with consciously sourced materials, reusable vessels, and low-waste packaging practices. Ritual candles are topped with wild-harvested botanicals and ethically sourced crystals selected to complement the atmosphere of each scent.

Poured into reusable amber glass vessels designed for warmth and quiet presence within the home. Finished with steel lids for preservation between rituals.

Crafted using a coco apricot wax blend with natural cotton wicks for a clean, even burn.

8 oz vessels feature a single wick for smaller spaces and softer scent diffusion, while 16 oz vessels are poured with double wicks for broader atmospheric throw and more even burn performance.

Crafted with fragrance oils infused with essential oils and formulated to meet our highest standards for atmospheric integrity. Developed without phthalates, organ toxins, acute toxins, CMRs, or ingredients listed under California Prop 65.

Fragrance has a unique relationship with memory, emotion, and perception. Long before scent is processed intellectually, it is experienced instinctively. A familiar fragrance can return the mind to a specific season of life, alter the emotional atmosphere of a room, or trigger association before language fully forms around it. Of all the senses, scent remains one of the most deeply tied to emotional recall.

Over time, repeated sensory environments begin to shape emotional experience. Humans naturally associate specific spaces, materials, lighting, sounds, and fragrances with particular emotional states. The scent of burning wood, clean linen, rain, citrus, smoke, tea, skin, paper, or amber eventually becomes attached to memory through repetition. Atmosphere leaves an imprint.

At Alchemist + Co., fragrance is approached as part of the sensory architecture of everyday life. Rather than creating scent as decoration alone, each collection is developed to influence atmosphere through layered materials, emotional pacing, and environmental awareness.
